Tense? Confused? Does life feel like a whirlwind? We all struggle with something – our work, our relationships, even ourselves. Misunderstandings, conflict, and painful experiences can arise in our relationships, and sometimes, we don’t know what kind of resolution would be good enough… but talking helps.
A therapeutic relationship can provide the opportunity to explore the patterns that keep us stuck, discover creative solutions to life’s frustrations, and experience more meaning, connection, and satisfaction in our daily lives. In learning to be comfortable saying whatever comes to mind, we begin to find a deeper understanding of ourselves, our relationships, and our dreams. By slowing down, paying attention, and talking through the sources of our emotional distress, the connection between ourselves and others can be nurtured and flourish.
Reaching out for support can feel scary and intimidating… is there a benefit in trying to figure it out alone?

Psychoanalytic treatment is considered the foundational theoretical framework for all current treatment modalities. As a depth psychology, psychoanalysis is curious about the conscious and unconscious dynamics that motivate and complicate our feelings, thoughts, and actions, including the ones that get us stuck in dysfunctional patterns of relating to ourselves and others.
The Modern Analytic technique is an evidence-based form of psychodynamic talk therapy that can provide a profoundly healing and transformative experience. By exploring the impact and significance behind our early history and life experiences, along with our own motivations, we begin to find freedom from the power of past traumas and reduce the intensity of our suffering. It is through the experience of putting tension states into language – feeling seen, heard, and understood – that we finally begin to heal.
With specialized training in psychodynamic and relational counseling, I approach my work from a place of collaborative and compassionate exploration, focusing on what is experienced in the here and now. My goal is to provide a comfortable and secure environment where we can begin to talk about whatever comes to mind. Sessions are tailored to fit individual needs and concerns, regardless of diagnosis. Whether you are seeking psychotherapy or couch analysis, rest assured you can come to session and “say anything.”
Attending to therapy is a brave endeavor, an investment in yourself, and when you’re ready to take that step, I would be honored to share the journey.
When would be a good time to try something new?
